A short 15-km blue (non technical) piste linking the village of Ait Youl in the Dades Valley to the village of Tamaloute that acts as the hub for several other routes.
From Tamaloute you have the option to head south to El Kelaa M'gouna on either tarmac or the red ‘S30 Jebel Talouit’ piste, or heading west on either the blue ‘S21 Tisgui Loop’ or red ‘S31Tizi n’Imdane’ pistes.
The photos below were taken during more than one trip.
km0: the entrance to the piste, signposted 'Gite Tamchachate'
km1: with Simon Bowles, looking back towards the tarmac and the start of the piste
km3: initially a stony/rocky piste
km6.4: and then turns into beaten earth
with berms and smooth off-piste riding areas
km10: nearing Tamaloute
km15: Gite Tamaloute and the end of the route. Time for a 'nus nus'.
