Ouarzazate is the film capital of Morocco. This easy blue (non-technical) 29-km piste route takes you across the stony hamada north west of Ouarzazate which has been used for movie locations by many film directors. You will pass by, and can stop and visit, film sets used in Kingdom of Heaven (2006), Gladiator (2000) and others. You approach Ait Benhadou (first used used in Lawrence of Arabia) from the rear, then cross the river via ford to reach the tarmac road to Ait Benhaddou.

From here you could continue north on C14 ‘Lords of the Atlas’ route to Telouet , then on the C15 ‘Tizi n’Tichka’ route to Marrakech. Another alternative is ‘W24 Beauty and the Beast’ route towards Taliouine.
