    Riding Morocco with ISIS Everywhere.

Any recent info on the situation regarding political/religious nutballs that may be loose in Morocco ?

I'm thinking of joining an IMT tour out of Malaga this coming Feb. Would like to know if this is OK, or try a different country.

Also, likely weather in the Atlas mountains then.

    Thanks,

I've just returned from two weeks in Morocco. As always there's a heavy (and welcome) police presence. Nowhere is 100% guaranteed safe, but I would have no compunction about doing your trip.

Weather is never predictable and the three Atlas ranges stretch 700 km. Temperatures tend to drop at the rate of 0.5ºC per 100m of altitude so mountains will be colder than lower altitudes, but I imagine your tour leader will plan higher altitudes for the warmest part of the day. The coldest part of Morocco and most likely for snow would be around Azrou/Ifrane (south of Fez).
