The way the forum is currently configured is that attachments come in as thumbnails per this example. It's possible to attach in-line (i.e. in the middle of the text) or all together at the end as they are in this case.
If you want to show full sized photographs you currently need to have them saved elsewhere and link them using the 'image' button in the editing bar.
